How android studio became my crush.

Lol, this piece of info might be a joke to you, but it is not, in a long run.

I started with android studio when I was a beginner, when I say beginner it means

I absolutely didn’t know jack about “Android development”

And then, I took this “Andela with ALC” training which gave me a shot to take the game seriously.

Now, this is the sweetest part of the mix, I was just an hobbyist, and a jack of all trade as well, then I took Andela’s test to get me started on Android, I got 75%, from that junction I was directed to their curriculum, which gave me a free shot to learn Android development for free on Udacity.

That was how I knew Udacity by Google, weird right 😂

Udacity didn’t only change my sense of humor, they have this way of teaching that keeps you hungry to get to know more, and hungry to know about it, I finished almost all their android courses ranging from “Android basics- User interface” to “ Android basics- Multiscreen Apps”, when I was finally done with this drill training, I was very hungry and curious to get myself into level 3, because I was way pass level 2 you know.

This was when I took it upon myself to install android studio, this was the part I almost gave up in the game “Android Studio and gradle” give me an Artificial headache, let me exaggerate a little bit lol,

“Android studio buried my motivation, and left me alone to quit programming in java and xml”

But, I did my research on YouTube aka google plus stackoverflow, I was able to download all platforms and all the necessary things on my Android SDK, with time I mastered a few tricks to keep my life syncing with gradle, I continued to further my training from a self compatible zone, only to discover that there are more android courses that are free on udacity.

“ pardon me, I’m so cheap, I like free things a lot “

I downloaded Udacity app, and i started training myself.

Then, I took a real life project, which opened my eye to the real world, even though the project was later terminated due to an unsealed contract, and unserious client who was ready to waste my effort, well my effort was built that way to be more serious.

This is not the only part that will amaze you, and if it doesn’t I’m sorry in advance, I started downloading different versions of android studio, and their beautiful UI rearrangement started to blow my mind, I installed few unstable versions of it, and I started to feel important too lol.

Oops, I forgot to mention how I encountered “Constraint layout”, when I was doing that project i told you about, I was caught up in a cross fire, my app could not run on all devices, it was always looking so shapeless and also stupid looking, it was not responsive at all, when i did a lot of research, and I was able to fix this, by watching a short video from a young lady called rigaroo on youtube, thanks to her.

Note: In some cases, you still have to design a UI for different screens

I will like to show you a screenshot of the udacity app, and how they decided to train us in a well fitting manner, I love udacity so much💗💗💗💥

In conclusion, free courses from udacity + google search, saved my life and now, I’m yet to be better because

The more you know, the more you are yet to know more

I have not uploaded all my projects to github, but I’ll do that in days to come, to connect with me, visit me @github

Thanks a lot for reading, I will update you more and more till learning becomes a crime in advance ……

To follow my journey, you can follow me on Instagram and Twitter, I’ll follow you back ASAP …

✌🏾👍🏽😊😉🤓

Let me quote this:

Behind every successful programmer, there is a framework — @Rhymezx.Code
Android studio is still my crush…..😂 💪🏽💗

And Android framework ( java and XML ) is still my wheels ♿
