What is DeFi? DeFi (short for Decentralized Finance) is a financial ecosystem operating on a blockchain (primarily Ethereum and compatible chains), allowing people to access essential financial services without intermediaries such as banks, stock exchanges, or mainstream financial media companies. The core of DeFi is transparency: The entire transaction set and source code are publicly available on the blockchain. At Concrete, they offer continuous monitoring: Real-time monitoring of vaults, infrastructure, and execution readiness, with independent verification from Hypernative and zeroShadow. Thresholds are continuously refined.

Things that no single individual at Concrete can do:

Moving funds out of the vault.
Changing vault parameters.
Adjusting governance or signatory configurations.
Updating NAV without independent validators.
Redirecting bridged funds to a destination not on the whitelist.

The layers of protection on the chain are the last line of defense. Even if all operational layers are compromised, the contracts will not implement updates outside of the predefined constraints. Explore concrete at https://concrete.xyz/ Please check it out.
