Weekly Highlights
- The CESS testnet Pre-Mainnet Venus+ has been live for 222 days, with over 878 registered storage nodes and 5 consensus nodes, providing 3.49 PiB of total storage capacity and a cumulative 314.25 TiB of verified storage.
- Storage node operations were further improved with enhancements to logging and index management, along with new self-healing optimizations that reduce operational overhead and improve maintenance efficiency.
- CD²N Gateway improvements focused on monitoring accuracy and operational flexibility, fixing intermittent anomalies and introducing monitoring data export capabilities for better analysis and maintenance.
- DeShare functionality and user experience were further refined, resolving remaining edge case issues and introducing quick file sharing support with short-link generation for better Web3 ecosystem integration.
Project Development Details
The CESS testnet has been updated to Pre-Mainnet Venus+ and consists of a consensus node and a storage node. Consensus Nodes maintains the world state of the CESS network and serves as the “data authentication station” (via TEE Worker), while Storage Nodes provides verifiable storage space and serves as the “data storage pool” in the CESS network.
Here are the key updates this week:
1. Storage Node [Pre-Mainnet Venus+]
- Improved log keyword search capabilities by fixing occasional matching inaccuracies, enhancing troubleshooting precision.
- Iterated index synchronization logic to resolve occasional resource allocation imbalances, strengthening synchronization stability.
- Enhanced anomaly batch export functionality with filtering support, making operational statistics and analysis more convenient.
- Optimized self-healing mechanisms by introducing automatic recovery verification for simple faults, further reducing manual intervention.
CESS is a blockchain powered decentralized storage and CD²N (content decentralized delivery network) infrastructure for Web3. By utilizing a DePIN (decentralized physical infrastructure network) model, CESS drives mass deployment of network nodes globally through incentives. The first of its kind, DeOSS (decentralized object storage services) by CESS has significantly contributed to the gradual enrichment and flourishing of the product ecosystem within the CESS network, DeShare (online file sharing tool), and public chain snapshot storage services have been incubated. The developments for this week are as follows:
Decentralized Object Storage Service (DeOSS)
- Fixed occasional missing verification logs on the CD²N Gateway and improved log storage mechanisms to simplify troubleshooting.
- Improved multi-dimensional monitoring statistics and introduced monitoring data export functionality to support operational analysis.
- Iterated batch verification comparison logic to fix occasional comparison inaccuracies and improve data consistency validation efficiency.
CESS Website (cess.network):
- Improved DeShare permission log filtering and fixed occasional issues with time range filtering to enhance traceability.
- Iterated the resume upload mechanism by improving transfer speed display accuracy, enhancing user experience in weak network environments.
- Introduced quick file sharing support in DeShare with short-link generation, improving sharing convenience and aligning with Web3 ecosystem interaction needs.
