An important change is coming to the TON ecosystem, and if you've ever used the Toncoin and Token Bridge, it's worth paying attention.

The bridge at bridge-v3.ton.org will permanently shut down on September 1, 2026. Once that date arrives, transfers through the bridge will no longer be possible.

For some users, this won't change anything. But if you're still holding bridged assets, now is a good time to check your wallets and make sure everything is moved before the deadline.

Check Your Wallets

The shutdown mainly affects users holding assets that were transferred through the bridge.

You may need to take action if you have:

- Wrapped TON in an Ethereum wallet
- Wrapped TON in a BNB Smart Chain wallet
- jUSDT on TON
- jUSDC on TON
- jWBTC on TON
- Other j-tokens issued through the bridge

If that's you, the recommendation is simple: bridge those assets back before September 1, 2026.

To make the process easier, all percentage-based transfer fees have been removed during the remaining withdrawal period.

The End of an Era

For many early TON users, the bridge played an important role in connecting TON with ecosystems like Ethereum and BNB Chain.

But as the ecosystem evolves, older infrastructure eventually gets retired.

This shutdown marks the final chapter for the current Toncoin and Token Bridge, giving users several months to move any remaining assets before services come to an end.

The transition has already started.

According to the announcement, bridge oracles will begin withdrawing their stakes from the bridge contracts during June 2026.

However, transfers will continue to be processed normally until the official shutdown date.

So while there's no immediate rush, it's probably not something you want to leave until the last week.

Better to Check Now Than Later

Even if you don't remember using the bridge recently, it's worth taking a quick look through your wallets.

Many users have old assets sitting untouched from transactions they made months or even years ago.

A few minutes spent checking today could save a lot of hassle later.

If you're holding wrapped TON on Ethereum or BNB Smart Chain, or j-tokens on TON, make sure they're moved before September 1, 2026.

Pool addresses:
• jUSDT: EQBynBO23ywHy_CgarY9NK9FTz0yDsG82PtcbSTQgGoXwiuA
• jWBTC: EQCbkRdpnrWZfm07dP5n_wjGx6llNkHNIdmZ-gpIQcDP-J-5
• jUSDC: EQB-MPwrd1G6WKNkLz_VnV6WqBDd142KMQv-g1O-8QUA3728

After that, the bridge will officially be offline for good.
