Email in. Expense logged, automatically.

Today we’re launching Email Sync, a feature that lets you automatically track your expense from an email source.

With Email Sync, you can now automate tracking your expenses from emails you choose, and have the transaction details extracted and added to your Budge AI activity feed in the app as it happens.

Update Budge AI to v0.6.0 (Build 110) on iOS TestFlight or via the Google Play Store on Android to try the new Email Sync feature.

Email Sync is an alternative or complementary option to SMS Sync. This means if you turn on both, Budge AI is smart enough to prevent the exact same transaction from being counted twice.

To get started

Create your private Budge email address. This will be unique to you and act a secure forwarding destination.
Set up auto-forwarding from your email provider. You can do this from Gmail, Outlook, or iCloud Mail. Support for Yahoo will come in subsequent updates.
Lastly, choose what email transactions you want to track by applying filters directly in your inbox.

We’ve added a step-by-step guide in the app to walk you through the setup process from start to finish if you need help getting started.

Also in this release

We fixed an issue where where budget cards on home screen did not show the warning icon when you’re close to or over your set budget limit.
We fixed an issue where you could to deselect a category pill when trying to create a new budget.
