How to Build an AI Semi-Automated Trading Assistant using Claude
Thornexdaniel5 min read·Just now--
One of the most impressive and useful tools I have built using AI is a Claude-TradingView link with a FastAPI local engine, where Claude acts as the data acquisition and interpretation layer, and my local engine acts as the consistent rule-based decision engine.
The outcome of this is not a signal generator.
Not an indicator.
Not an automated trading system.
But I have built a: Market Structure Decision Support Engine
that:
- Processes live market data
- Maintains session context
- Applies Gamma Reference and Dalton logic consistently
- Tracks auction behaviour
- Identifies developing trade structures
- Produces an objective market read
while leaving the final execution decision to me.
All engines contribute to one market thesis. At that point I shift from:
“What is the market doing?”
to
“What is the market doing, why is it doing it, and who is trapped if it continues?”
