A US-brokered ceasefire in the Israel-Lebanon conflict has prompted many displaced Lebanese to return south. The market for an Israel x Hezbollah ceasefire by April 30, 2026, sits at 100% YES.

The ceasefire took effect on April 16, 2026, and displaced persons have been moving back to their homes. Israel maintains a military presence in the south, including a “Yellow Line” buffer zone, keeping tensions elevated despite the halt in fighting. The June 30 market also sits at 100% YES, indicating strong confidence the ceasefire holds into late spring.

The market for military action in Beirut shows no change, with odds at 100% YES for early April. Prediction market pricing on Beirut is static, and trading volume is low, suggesting traders see no reason to reposition.

The ceasefire news hasn’t moved the Beirut markets because no new military actions have occurred there. At 100% YES, the ceasefire contracts offer negligible return unless something unexpected breaks the agreement. For traders, the question is whether this pause becomes sustained peace or collapses back into conflict.

Watch for statements from Netanyahu and Hezbollah’s Naim Qassem. Any confirmation of continued negotiations or a breakdown in talks would directly affect these markets. Further US mediation efforts could also shift pricing.
