TechGaged evaluated the readiness of the top 10 blockchains for quantum challenges and found Cardano to be the most secure.
According to TechGaged. com’s analysis, based on the qLABS Quantum Vulnerability Index (qLVI), six of the top 10 blockchains are essentially unprepared for potential quantum attacks. Only four projects are actively working to strengthen their defenses against this impending threat.
And among these four networks, Cardano was the most prepared for quantum threats. The table below shows that Cardano’s readiness score is 0, which means “fully prepared.
The network is “backed by years of research and a clear long-term strategy, according to the report.
In the same list is XRP Ledger, which plans to reach quantum readiness by 2028, as well as Ethereum, which is conducting intensive research and has a clear plan of action.
Solana rounds out the list, also scoring zero, as it has begun actively working on its roadmap, migration and wallet support.
the Quantum Readiness Index reflects the degree of readiness of these top ten blockchains. Those who are late in taking precautions will be forced to resort to hasty and risky upgrades to reduce the backlog and try to secure themselves. Such actions themselves pose additional risks to users and their assets. Preventive preparation can avoid these scenarios altogether.
Among the least prepared, if at all, Bitcoin was found to be the most vulnerable, according to the study. It has a vulnerability index of 8.
